The camp exists as one of the most central Nazi concentration and extinction prisons, operating in fourties od XIX century, currently treated as a sign of the Holocaust process. The camp was set by the Nazi Germans just after they have usurped this Polish region at the time of World War II and gradually got the central unit of massive destruction of Jews coming from the whole Europe, but also of huge amounts of Polish inhabitants, Romas, Soviets and others.
